EUROPACE winner Banking Review Innovation Award 2008
Every year the Banking Review Innovation Award is awarded to the most innovative new concept in the financial industry. The jury consisted of four independent financial experts who have great experience in the financial industry and education:
- Ronald Latenstein van Voorst – CFO of SNS Reaal
- Marcel Creemers – Professor at the Nyenrode Business University
- Niek de Jager – Accountant and partner at Ernst & Young
- Hein Aanstoot – Director of SIVI (Foundation for the standardisation of the intermediary branch)
The EUROPACE concept of Hypoport Stater was nominated for this prestigious award, together with four other innovations:
- Delta Lloyd Pensioenstabilisator (pension fund stabiliser)
- Dazure – GoedIdee Nabestaandenverzekering (new type of death risk insurance)
- Chess / Meetingpoint – MP4office (e-commerce platform for insurance intermediaries, founded by 14 large insurance companies)
- Salestools.nl – Taxateurs Unie (internet based property appraisal platform)
So we were in good company and had to compete with strong contestants. In this strong playing field, we were very proud to be awarded the Banking Review Innovation Award 2008. According to the jury “EUROPACE distinguished itself because it is the first independent and integrated platform for all parties in the mortgage value chain, without the necessity to integrate complex software into their own systems architecture. The simplicity and low threshold of the solution is praiseworthy, saying great things about the flexibility, durability of the system and the success in the pursuance of transparency. Individual Risk Based Pricing is a clear and distinct advantage compared to the traditional way of determining mortgage conditions based on average risk profiles. With individual Risk Based Pricing EUROPACE offers an interesting and proven concept that is very innovative for the Netherlands.”
